Joshua conquered Jericho in spectacular fashion, received one of the most iconic challenges from God to be strong and courageous, and has a book of the Bible named after him. But who was Joshua really? Before he led Israel’s armies, Joshua lived in the shadow of a far greater figure. In this Discovery Series booklet, follow Joshua from his childhood working as Moses’s personal aide all the way to the moment when he stepped into some of the biggest shoes anyone has ever had to fill. Sometimes God calls us to a task far greater than anything we feel qualified for. The story of Joshua invites us to watch what God can do with the waiting and willing.
